Calendar Events

• Temple Prep Classes: Sundays at 7 pm at the home of Cliff and Nanette Wood!

• Stake Special Needs Activity: Sat, Aug 29 from 10 am to 12 at the Beavercreek building. For adults and youth 16 and up. Outside fun and games; bring a towel and sunscreen. See flyer.

• Stake Youth Olympics: Sat, Aug 29, 1-4 pm. Buck Creek State Park Beach, 1976 Buck Creek Ln, Springfield. All YM/YW ages 12 and up. Bring swim suit, towel, & friends. (In case of inclement weather, come play games at the Springfield Ward building.) See and share flyer here.

• Ward Linger Longer: Sun, Aug 30 at 2 pm at our church building. Gather together for a potluck meal right after church!

• Ward Valiant Activity Days: For primary children 8 and up. Activities are beginning starting in September each 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 7 pm (often held at our church building; leaders will communicate details of each activity). Mark your calendars!

• Stake Fast & Prayer for Missionary Work: Now through Sat, Sep 5. Invitation from the stake presidency to join in a special fast for missionary work. Sign up here. It is a goal that our ward share 125 pass along cards, too. We would love to hear about your missionary experiences; if you have one to share, please email Brother Eric Barnes at ebarnes1827@gmail.com. There will be a wrap up missionary work fireside at the stake center on Sun, Sept 6 at 7 PM. 

• Tri-stake Military Appreciation Breakfast:  Sat, Sept 5 from 8:30 to 10:30 AM at the Beavercreek building to honor all service members & veterans. This also includes their families. You're also welcome to invite your non-member military friends. More details and RSVP link here.

• Missionary Work Fireside: Sun, Sept 6 at 7 pm to wrap up the stake fast and prayer for missionary work.

• Storehouse Assignment: Tues, Sep 8. If you can volunteer at the storehouse in Groveport that morning, let your Elders Quorum or Relief Society leader know. Thanks!

• Stake Relief Society Fireside: Sun, Sep 13 at 7 pm. Beavercreek church building. See flyer here for details.

• Friend to Friend video: New video for children: The Family is of God, will be released on Sept 13 and can be viewed at the church website.

• 2026 YSA Cities of  Light Northeast Conference: For YSA (singles 18-35). Save the date for Sep 18-20. More information about this event here.

• CES Edventure: For youth. Wed, Sep 23 at 7 pm at the Huber Heights church building. Seminary, institute, BYU-I, and BYU representatives will be attending to provide information. 

• Stake Fall Festival: Sat, Sep 26. Save the date; details to be added.

• General Conference: Broadcasts on Sat, Oct 3 at 12pm and 4 pm, as well as Sun, Oct 4 at 12 pm and 4 pm. Hear from our prophet and other church leaders.

• Stake Emergency Preparedness Campaign: Get a kit. Make a plan. Be informed. Info from Red Cross here. As a first step, please take a few minutes this week to review the attached information sheet, identify what emergency supplies your household already has, and choose one preparedness action your family can complete this month.

• Look Unto Christ Faith Walk: Bear Creek Camp, Indiana, a 1.3 mile trail and guided journey, in the quiet beauty of the camp at night. A reminder that Christ walks beside us, offering healing, hope, and clarity through life’s challenges. Available to the public on Friday evenings in Aug & Sept. Reserve spots to attend. Flyer here. • Feedback from Pioneer Trek: If you participated or helped with Pioneer Trek this year, our stake would like your feedback: link here.

• Ward Meeting Time for 2026: Sacrament meeting begins at 12 noon at our church building in Middletown, and 2nd hour meetings follow. 

• Healing through the Savior Support Meeting: Family and friends. Sundays 8-9 pm at the Beavercreek church building.

• 2026 Family Promise Training and Hosting: Once a quarter, our ward has the assignment to provide dinner, fellowship, and youth activities for families at Family Promise. Upcoming dates for 2026 are Oct 22 & 23.  Family Promise holds a training session, usually on the first or second Saturday of each month, for those interested in helping in person. Anyone can add service opportunities, which the stake coordinator will approve. Create a username and password to track hours, projects, add favorites, and post local opportunities. • Family Search Center: The Family Search Center in Fairborn invites you to come to the center and see the new equipment. Bring pictures from your house to quickly scan. New hours are Thurs. 10am to 7pm, Fri. 10am to 4pm, and Sat. 10am to 2pm. 

• Columbus Temple: At the rededication of the temple, President Ballard encouraged us to view temple attendance with urgency. Temples are a blessing to us, and we are encouraged to attend regularly or prepare so that we can attend. Schedule temple appointments online at the church website churchofjesuschrist.org/temples OR email or call the Columbus temple.
